Prime Genetics, LLC (“Prime Genetics) is an agency that locates and matches human Egg Donors and Surrogates with couples (Intended Parents) in need of those services. We strive to identify responsible Donors with those ideal genetic characteristics desired by our clients. We also strive to locate healthy and responsible Surrogates that possess the proper temperament to serve and succeed in that role. It is our ultimate goal to make the process pleasant and wonderfully rewarding for everyone involved.

Prime Genetics is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (“ASRM”). We work with the finest IVF physicians in the geographic areas that we serve.

Prime Genetics aggressively markets for suitable Egg Donors and Surrogates. We advertise in a variety of forums. We are continually updating our database to insure the broadest selection of quality Egg Donors and Surrogates. Prime Genetics pre-screens its Egg Donors and Surrogates.

Basic requirements for an Egg Donor are that they are non-smokers, emotionally stable, responsible, bright and healthy and between the ages of 19-33. Basic requirements for a woman to be accepted into our Surrogate program are that they are emotionally stable, responsible, in good health, a non-smoker, have had at least one successful pregnancy and are presently capable of carrying a child to term.

As part of the pre-screening process for Egg Donors, Prime Genetics participates in an interview with the Egg Donor to obtain a comfort level that the candidate is well informed as to what is involved in the process. Egg Donor candidates are required to complete an extensive long form application. The inquiries made within the application include, but are not limited to, information on the candidate’s family and medical history and educational background. The application also inquires into other characteristics and talents of the candidate. Suitable local candidates are requested to undergo testing for antral follicle count and FSH levels. Some candidates undergo more extensive testing for such items as HIV, hepatitis, cystic fibrosis and other STD’s. Once a candidate has been preliminarily selected by Intended Parents based on profile information and photographs, Prime Genetics then works closely with the candidate and the Intended Parents to coordinate the remainder of the assisted reproduction process. Included within the services provided by Prime Genetics is: (1) the provision of an Egg Donor contract form to be entered into between the parties; (2) the maintaining of the anonymity of the parties to the contract; (3) the referral of the candidate to an outside attorney to review the contract, if the candidate so requests; (4) the purchase of an Egg Donor insurance policy; (5) the maintenance of an escrow account to pay the Egg Donor for her services and for the various other expenses associated with the assisted reproduction process; (6) the scheduling of an appointment for the Egg Donor candidate with a suitable psychologist or psychiatrist for a psychological evaluation; (7) the providing of assistance and coordination in having additional medical testing conducted on the candidate as may be requested by the Intended Parents; and (8) overall coordination of the assisted reproduction process. For out-of-town Egg Donors, Prime Genetics coordinates and participates in the selection of an out-of-town medical clinic to assist the Egg Donor in the administration of the ovarian stimulation drugs and the medical monitoring that occurs prior to the removal of the eggs. Prime Genetics also assists in the coordination of the out-of-town Egg Donor’s travel. It is ultimately the goal of Prime Genetics to assist the Intended Parents, the Egg Donor, and the IVF physician to maintain a smooth and coordinated process from the selection of the Egg Donor to the ultimate removal of the eggs from the Egg Donor.

The pre-screening process for candidates to serve as a Surrogate is similar to the process for Egg Donors. Prime Genetics requires the Surrogate candidates to complete an application, which seeks information on the candidate’s family and medical history with an emphasis on whether the candidate is suitable to serve in that role. Included within the services provided by Prime Genetics is: (1) the provision of a gestational contract form to be entered into between the parties; (2) the investigation of whether the Surrogate has available insurance coverage and, if not, how the Intended Parents intend to pay for such Surrogate’s medical expenses; (3) the maintenance of an escrow account to pay the Surrogate for her services and for the various other expenses associated with the assisted reproduction process; (4) the scheduling of an appointment for the Surrogate with a suitable psychologist or psychiatrist for a psychological evaluation; (5) the coordination of further visits by the Surrogate with a qualified therapist during the period of the gestation; (6) the providing of assistance and coordination in having additional medical testing conducted on the candidate as may be requested by the Intended Parents; and (7) overall coordination of the assisted reproduction process.

Prime Genetics also participates, where necessary, in the process of validating the gestational contract by a Texas court. Prime Genetics assists in directing parties to legal counsel to represent them in the process, and when required, arranges for an in-home evaluation of the Intended Parents to insure that the child will be born into a healthy environment with a strong and supportive family. It is the goal of Prime Genetics to coordinate with the Intended Parents, the Surrogate and the IVF physician to maintain a coordinated assisted reproduction process.
